Entomology is fun & exciting, but what about entomology is important to you?

Please submit an essay between 300-500 words about an experience that helped you realize a love or respect for entomology, an essay about a topic in entomology that fascinates you, or a creative story, poem, or other piece that represents entomology for you.

The winner will receive a copy of Guide to Colorado Insects by Whitney Cranshaw & Boris Kondratieff. The winning essay will be featured here on the homepage and other essays will be posted on an attached site so that everyone's work can be enjoyed!

-Colorado Insects of Interest: Fireflies is a webpage about the distribution, life history, and identification fo fireflies in Colorado. We're trying to find the distribution and new county records in Colorado. Please let us know where you're finding fireflies!
